Thank you for visiting Hunger Defense Fund's web site. HDF is a nonprofit humanitarian relief organization located in Santa Clarita, California and is dedicated to reaching out to needy children and their families here in the United States and around the world. HDF responds to natural disasters here in the United States and around the world by providing food, clothing, personal hygiene items, water, blankets etc. to those in need. We believe in a hand up, not a hand out! Currently, HDF is supporting two orphanages, one in Honduras and the other in Kenya, Africa. If you would like to support either of these programs, please go to the donate button and you can contribute by credit card, check or money order.


Coming Soon - 2008 Walk-A-Thon!!! Join us September 20th at the Santa Clarita Kmart shopping Center for a Hunger Defense Fund annual event. We have dedicated ourselves to reaching out to the needy families among us. It's a simple "Hand Up" that can make a big difference. You don't have to go far to find hungry men, women, and children. Just outside our doors there are people struggling daily to put food on the table. Senior citizens, young families and individuals of all ages are feeling the affects of low income and would graciously accept assistance. Walk with us and help make a difference. (Registration starts on September 20th between 8:30 and 9:30 AM at the corner of Bouquet Canyon Road and Soledad Canyon Road in Santa Clarita,CA)

Love and Life Center

Hunger Defense Fund operates the Love and Life Center in Honduras. This center houses children suffering from cancer. Their shelter, food and clothing are provided, as well as six months to a full year of chemotherapy treatments.

Many of the children leave the center after successfully completing their round of chemotherapy and some stay, due to abandonment by their parents.

Hunger Defense Fund appreciates the dedicated volunteers and monetary donations that help keep our Love and Life Center running.

Iowa Flood – More Relief Needed

Extreme weather conditions have left Iowa in ruins. Floods damaged nearly all Iowa counties and affected more than 11 million people.

It's the worst flooding seen in the area for more than fifteen years and the people of Iowa desperately need our support.

Hunger Defense Fund has been sending food and hygiene products to the devastated region and we could use further assistance to continue our relief efforts. Please help us send more supplies to Iowa, by donating today. Thank you!

So many of us take for granted what we have in life; food, water, the clothes on our back, and that roof over our head. The constant, daily stepping-stones that always seem to be there and are rarely if ever thought about. But, these are the very same things that can be gone in a matter of no time.
