FOOD DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULE:

Tuesday 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Thursday 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Saturday 9:30 am – 11:30 am

Food drives are also needed year-round to keep our shelves stocked. Donations of personal hygiene items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and deodorant) and baby supplies (diapers and wipes) are also appreciated. We don’t receive any government funding which means support form our community is essential for us to continue serving those in need.

Volunteers are needed during each of these times to assist with our distribution of food. Volunteers assist with the check-in process, complete check-out paperwork, bag groceries, carry out groceries, light cleaning such as sweeping and cleaning refrigerators, and hanging clothes. This is a great opportunity for church groups, youth groups, and service organizations as well as individuals with a heart for serving others.

Easter – Hams / Turkeys – For the Easter Holiday, it is our goal to provide a ham or turkey to every family. You can support this program by donating hams or turkeys or by making a financial contribution toward the purchase of these items.

School Supplies / Backpack Drive – Throughout July we collect new backpacks and school supplies to be provided to local needy families before school starts. For many families who are struggling to put food on their tables, the added expense of school supplies each year is an overwhelming burden. You can support this program by collecting new backpacks and school supplies such as loose paper, 3-ring binders, pencils, pens, pencil sharpeners, markers, crayons, spiral notebooks, erasers, pencil cases, and rulers. Your generous donations of these items will give children the materials and confidence they need to succeed in their education as they start a new school year.

Thanksgiving – Turkeys - For the Thanksgiving Holiday, it is our goal to provide a turkey to every family. You can support this program by donating turkeys or by making a financial contribution toward the purchase of these items.

Adopt-A-Family – During November, low-income families who regularly receive food from our food bank may sign up to request gifts for their children for the holidays. Each family completes an application indicating each child’s name, age, size of clothes and shoes, and three gift wishes. You can support this program by adopting a family and bringing the joy of the holidays to needy children. This program offers a personalized way to touch a child’s life by giving them hope.

Christmas – Hams - For the Holidays, it is our goal to provide a ham to every family. You can support this program by donating hams or by making a financial contribution toward the purchase of these items.

These programs provide a vital and much-needed service to the Santa Clarita Community. However, they are not possible without your support. Please consider how you would like to support needy children and their families and truly make a difference in their lives.
